Beverly Police Officer on Diaper Duty

Officer uses his own money to buy diapers for resident at 2:30 in the morning.

Beverly police officer Samuel Lane helped out a Dearborn Avenue resident and her infant who were in need of diapers early Thursday morning.

At 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, police got a call from a woman on Dearborn Avenue who was concerned that her boyfriend was driving around intoxicated in the early morning hours. According to police, the boyfriend also had the diapers for the woman’s infant in the car.

A search of the area didn’t turn up the boyfriend or the car with the diapers.
