Beverly Provides Free COVID-19 Tests Ahead Of New School Year
Amid the end of the statewide testing program, the city is offering the at-home rapid tests for pick-up on Thursday.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Public Schools is providing students and families with access to rapid, at-home COVID-19 tests amid the end of the statewide testing program for schools.
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education said earlier this month it was dropping most school coronavirus protocols when it came to testing, distancing and quarantines for asymptomatic exposure, including the end of recommended surveillance testing and the bi-weekly free at-home tests distributed last spring.
But the city is stepping up to make those tests available to families that need them with up to four tests available per car. The drive-thru giveaway will take place at the Beverly High School main office entrance on Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.
