Beverly Public Schools Closed On Tuesday After Massive Winter Storm

Schools will be closed for a second straight day after more than 20 inches of snow fell across the North Shore.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly Public Schools will be closed for a second straight day on Tuesday as the city continues to clean up from the massive winter storm that dumped more than 20 inches of snow across the North Shore.

"I do not make this decision lightly as I know the impacts this can have for working families," Beverly Superintendent Peter Cushing said. "Please help our city out by aiding in the clearing of sidewalks and bus stops, if you are able."

All after-school activities are canceled or postponed on Tuesday.

The snow emergency parking ban remained in effect as of Monday night.

Bishop Fenwick and Essex North Shore are also closed on Tuesday.

Trash and recycling pickup is delayed in Beverly by one day for the remainder of the week.
