Beverly Public Schools To Host 'Mindful Parenting' Event March 10
The event aims to help parents cope, recognize and understand mental health issues in children.
BEVERLY, MA—Parenting isn't always easy. It can be downright challenging at times, especially when a child struggles both mentally and emotionally in and out of the classroom.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 7.1 percent of children aged 3-17 years, or approximately 4.4 million, have diagnosed anxiety. A little more than three percent of children aged 3-17 years have diagnosed depression.
In an effort to help moms and dads become better “mindful parents,” Beverly Public Schools will host an event Tuesday geared at helping parents learn ways to cope with children who live with daily struggles.
