Beverly Resident Among Group Organizing Third Annual Benefit for VNA Care Network and Hospice

Tickets available now for the spring event.

A Beverly resident is among those behind the Third Annual North Shore Spring Event to support the home-based health care services of VNA Care Network and Hospice. The spring event will on Saturday, May 9.

For over 100 years, VNA Care Network & Hospice has brought health care into the homes of North Shore residents. Care focuses on helping people with injuries and illnesses, such as COPD, cardiac disease, diabetes, total joint replacement and wounds, improve their health while continuing to live independently. The agency’s staff includes registered nurses; physical, occupational and speech therapists; medical social workers; registered dieticians; and home health aides.

VNA Care Network & Hospice’s North Shore Community Cabinet, volunteers dedicated to raising awareness of and support for the agency’s nonprofit mission of caring, are organizing the May 9 benefit. The Cabinet includes Linda Anderson-Mercier of Beverly.

The benefit will feature a performance by Just In Time; dance demonstrations and informal instruction in salsa, rhumba, foxtrot, and more; live and silent auctions; and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

This is the third year the North Shore Community Cabinet has planned a spring event to support the future of VNA Care Network & Hospice’s home health care services. Donations are critical and used to serve patients in need, develop new programs, purchase technology and equipment, and provide state-of-the-art training for staff.

Tickets for the benefit are $50 per person and may be purchased at www.vnacarenetwork.org<http://www.vnacarenetwork.org> or by calling VNA Care Network & Hospice at 888-663-3688, ext. 1361. Updates about the event will be posted towww.facebook.com/VNACareNetwork<http://www.facebook.com/VNACareNetwork> and www.twitter.com/VNACare.
