Woodard & Curran Foundation awards 3-year $100,000 Impact Grant for an innovative project related to Climate Change to Change is Simple

Woodard & Curran Foundation of Portland, ME has announced its 2018 Impact Grant recipient, awarding $100,000 over 3 years for an innovative project applying or advancing technology to address water issues relating to climate change. The Foundation’s Giving Committee chose Beverly, MA-based Change is Simple (CiS) from a pool of over 50 grant applicants. “We are thrilled to offer this large Impact Grant to Change is Simple and support their innovative approach to experiential learning,” said Barry Sheff, President of the Foundation. This is the third year of the Foundation’s Impact Grant program (previous awardees are the University of Rhode Island [RI] and Literacy for Environmental Justice [CA]). “This year we will issue over $100,000 in grant money to organizations doing important, inspirational environmental work,” continued Sheff. “Woodard & Curran Foundation is proud to be able to fund three major multi-year projects simultaneously as a demonstration of our commitment to support such worthy – and essential – environmental programs.”
