Beverly School Participates in Hour of Code

Glen Urquhart School participates in “The Hour of Code,” an introduction to computer science during the week of December 5-9 in celebration of Computer Science Education Week. Hour of Code activities are designed to demystify computer programming and show that anyone can learn the basics of coding. GUS students in grades 1-5 and upper school students are learning to code this week along with thousands of students from around the world. This is a special week for math and technology teachers to help students focus on coding and programming skills at a young age to promote mathematical thinking, programming skills, and understanding the many ways that coding is used in our lives. Successful students will receive an HoC Certificate of Completion.
