BEVERLY, MA — These Beverly students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.
The University of Hartford announced that Ian Alsop, Caroline Kennedy and Isabel O'Connell have made the Dean's List for Fall 2022.
A total of 2,069 undergraduate students achieved the criteria required for Worcester Polytechnic institute's fall 2022 Dean's List. The criteria for the WPI Dean's List differs from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI defines the Dean's List by the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and projects.

The following Beverly students were named to the Dean's List for fall 2022:
Eric DePiero, majoring in Civil Engineering (BS), class of 2025;

Ava Dickman, majoring in Business (BS), class of 2025;
Joshua Klee, majoring in Aerospace Engineering (BS), class of 2026;
Vladimir Robert Altenor earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus in fall 2022.
Altenor was one of more than 7,600 students worldwide who earned degrees from UMGC in the fall. Graduates came from all 50 states, five U.S. territories, and 18 countries.
Joseph Martin was named to the College of the Holy Cross Fall 2022 Dean's List.
A member of the Class of 2023, Martin was named to the Dean's List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year.
To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Natasha Devlin, who graduated from BHS in 2022, made it to the Dean's List for the fall semester, with First Honors at Clark University.
The University of Vermont said the following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2022 semester:
Meghan Mitchell is majoring in Biology and Molecular Genetics;
Angelika Hillios is majoring in Health and Society;
Julie McMahon is majoring in Neuroscience;
Katelyn Singer is majoring in Plant Biology;
Nolan Chanda is majoring in Mechanical Engineering;
Gwyneth Fitzpatrick is majoring in Exercise Science;
Alyssa Sullivan is majoring in Psychological Science;
John Driscoll is majoring in Computer Science;
To be named to the Dean's List, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
Elyse Kersten was named to the Dean's List at James Madison University for the fall 2022 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. She is majoring in Communication Studies.

Emma Donoghue earned high honors, Shane Cassidy earned honors, Sophia Schlichtmann earned honors, Madison Saunders earned high honors, Olivia Miller earned high honors, Jacob Rotker earned high honors, Natalie Eberhardt earned high honors, Kyle Cotoia earned high honors, Grace Bell earned high honors, Thomas Leighton earned high honors, Cassandra Jones earned high honors, Michael Burgess earned high honors and Isabelle Cabrera earned high honors
Casey Cormier and Olivia DiPietro were named to Hofstra University's fall 2022 Dean's List. Both students earned a grade-point average of at least 3.5 during the semester.
Hailey Carroll and Tyler Serino were named to the Plymouth State University President's List for the Fall 2022 semester. Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.7 and complete at least 12 credit hours.
The following Southern New Hampshire University students from Beverly were named to the Fall 2022 Dean's List:
Devin Zelck, Bryce Caron, Joana DeSousa, Blake Cotoia, Marissa Almeida, Chase Duffin, Kimberly Way, Matthew Golin, Alicia Bradley, Marleny Cuevas, Karissa Fennelly, Colleen Powers, Maarten Oosterbaan, Jordan Butters and Justin Butters.
Elona Allushi was named to Southern New Hampshire University's Fall 2022 Dean's List. The fall terms run from September to December.
Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, welcomed 1,085 new initiates from 45 universities in November 2022.
Students initiated into the Society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate/professional students in the top 35 percent of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on campus are invited to join each year.
Ava Boghosian at the University of Richmond and Emily DePiero of Worcester State University earned the honor.
Jared Haight achieved President's List for the fall 2022 semester at Nichols College.
Ryan Gallucci and Keegan Donoghue achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University for the Fall 2022 semester. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours (exclusive of audit and pass/fail courses this semester) and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
Elizabeth Desilvestre and MacKenzie Gilligan made the fall 2022 Dean's List at Nazareth.
Julia Erricola, Daniel Grant, Taylor Beckett, Nicholas Johnson, Kylie McCarthy, Dabria Allardice and Conor Hanlon all were named to the fall 2022 Dean's List at Curry College.
The University of Tampa has honored 2,044 students who were named to the dean's list for the Fall 2022 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
Colby Tassinari, majoring in Animation, and Natalia Francis, majoring in Marketing, achieved the honor from Beverly.
