Give A Beverly Traffic Island A Glow Up This Spring

The Beverly in Bloom project is looking for businesses, civic groups and residents to "adopt" city traffic islands through the end of 2023.

The "Beverly in Bloom" island beautification program allows the "adoption" of one of the city's islands where a uniform sign naming the adopter will be placed on the island in exchange for an agreement to plant flowers and greenery.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly is looking for residents, civic groups and businesses to add a touch of color to the city's traffic islands this spring and summer.

The "Beverly in Bloom" island beautification program allows the "adoption" of one of the city's islands where a uniform sign naming the adopter will be placed on the island in exchange for an agreement to plant flowers and greenery in an effort to "enhance and beautify the city."

"We appreciate our local businesses, community groups and volunteers that care so much about our city and want to help make Beverly the 'Garden City.'" Mayor Mike Cahill said. "This year’s program will focus on creating spaces that are beautiful and giving habitat to our pollinators. In years past, we saw that the program had an enormous, positive impact on improving the aesthetics on Beverly's roads and provided great exposure for its sponsors."
