BEVERLY, MA — What began as one way — any way — to support musicians and provide relief for North Shore music fans during the early months of the COVID-19 health crisis is turning into an anticipated summer tradition in Beverly.

The Hale Farm Porch Sessions — intimate, outdoor shows at the historic farm — will return for the third year this year starting with "A Celebration of Women In Music" on July 28 and running through at least Aug. 21.

"The response to our previous Porch Sessions seasons has been truly welcoming, and we're thrilled to come back for a third season with such a stellar line-up of artists,” Cabot Executive Director Casey Soward said. "We are tremendously grateful to Historic Beverly for letting us return to this beautiful space for another summer.

"We can't wait to see both new and returning fans to Hale Farm starting next month."

While the charm of the venue remains the same there are changes from the socially distanced, minimal capacity series that state coronavirus restrictions dictated in 2020. This year's events will be general admission with patrons encouraged to bring blankets and chairs.

Picnics with small coolers are permitted — with some restrictions — and beer, wine, water and soft drinks will again be available for purchase.
