Beverly's Cabot Plans Concert Series For Kids

The Cabot: The 850 seat, almost 100 year-old Cabot theatre in Beverly, Massachusetts is really reaching out to kids this year! In addition to the NINE $1 Kids Movies on Wednesday nights all summer long, The Cabot is now announcing the 2018-2019 "Kids at the Cabot" concert series featuring seven Saturday morning concerts for kids at 10:30 am, beginning Saturday, October 13 with the Brooklyn, New York based Bandits on The Run. The concert series is sponsored by New England BioLabs.

Several of the artists in this series have won awards, such as Grammy Awards and Parent's Choice Awards. In addition, many of these shows have an educational piece. Vanessa Trien, for instance, attended Harvard's Graduate School for Education and she works her knowledge into her shows. Mil's Trills' albums have received kudos from NAPPA and Parent's Choice and Bill Harley has won two Grammy awards and has been nominated several times as well.

The Cabot's Executive Director Casey Soward states, "I think our kids shows and movies are a very important part of The Cabot's outreach to the North shore communities. As a dad myself, I know that there are never enough quality programs for kids and so we decided to bring educational and entertaining music to our wonderful young people, who are, of course, our future. And, with the sponsorship from New England Biolabs, it makes this concert series possible. For our $1 Movie nights, we also have Dawson's TrueValue and Salem Five as our underwriters."
