Beverly's The Herrick House Senior Living Residence Gets Modern Look

BEVERLY, MA — The Beverly senior living facility The Herrick House is celebrating a recent renovation aimed at modernizing the living experience for its 85 residents and their families.

The Herrick House, nearing its 30th anniversary as one of the first senior assisted living communities in the state, is run by Beth Israel Lahey Health on the campus of Beverly Hospital.

The project included improvements to the common area, upgrades to the dining facility and library, the creation of a media and cafe, transformation of the pub and a refresh of the lobby entryway to make it more welcoming for guests and visitors.

New furnishings, carpeting and window treatments were made to every residential floor to brighten up the shared spaces.

"This renovation project has greatly enhanced the look and feel of The Herrick House to meet the evolving needs and interests of our valued residents and their families while maintaining the beauty and elegance that the residence has consistently been known for," said Jennifer Gizmunt, president of Continuing Care for Beth Israel Lahey Health. "We are excited for our residents and their families to enjoy the newly redesigned spaces along with all of our many featured amenities that make The Herrick House such an inviting place to call home."

In addition to assisted living, The Herrick House offers respite stay options and a specialized Spectrum Memory Care Program for residents with cognitive impairment.

"Providing our residents with the comforts of home where they can safely enjoy life and have all their needs met is our highest priority," said Nancy Moore, executive director of The Herrick House. "These improvements will allow us to offer the best possible experience to our residents as they live the lifestyles they want and deserve."
