Beverly's Newest Police Sergeants Sworn-In

Anthony DiRuzza and David Costa were officially sworn-in as the Beverly Police Department’s newest sergeants on Tuesday night in City Hall.

Sgt. DiRuzza was appointed to his new position on Oct. 28, 2014. He has been a patrolman since 1998. He is currently assigned to serve as the department’s Traffic and Safety Supervisor.

Sgt. Costa wa appointed to his new promotion at the end of last year. He has been a patrolman since 2010. He served as a crime analyst, public information officer and detective. With the promotion, Sgt. Costa was assigned to be the midnight shift supervisor.
