Beverly's terrific run to the Super Bowl came to an end Saturday afternoon in a 41-14 loss to Duxbury in Lowell.
The Panthers (8-3) had a tough time containing quarterback Bobby Maimaron. They aren't alone in that - Maimaron recently became the state's all-time leader in touchdown passes for undefeated Duxbury. He threw for three and ran for two more on Saturday.
The result means Duxbury goes to Gillette Stadium to play for the Division 2 Super Bowl on Dec. 3.
