Beverly Commuter Rail Victim ID'd

A 38-year-old man was struck and killed by a train while on the tracks.

BEVERLY, MA – The man whose body was found Friday morning at the Beverly Depot commuter rail station tracks has been identified as a homeless man known in the area, the Essex County DA's office said.

Thomas O'Reilly, 38, was struck and killed while on the outbound tracks, according to Transit Police. Foul play is not suspected.

The incident was reported around 6:20 a.m. O'Reilly was pronounced dead at the scene.
