Get a taste of Beethoven (with a side of Mendelssohn) performed by musicians from Symphony by the Sea. Guests can enjoy appetizers and a musical demonstration from 5:00-6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 16 at the Manninen Center for the Arts, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly. The event is free and open to the public.
The tasting party will give a glimpse of the full-length Symphony by the Sea concerts to be held at Marblehead's Abbot Hall on April 25 and the Governor's Academy in Byfield on April 28. Attendees will be given a complimentary ticket to the full-length program on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability. The Symphony Board hopes to insure that great classical music is accessible to all audiences.
"Our concert programs offer a wonderful experience for both veteran and new audience members," explains Beverly Clark, Symphony by the Sea Board President. "And this special 'appetizer' is really to whet the appetite of anyone who loves music of any kind...including newcomers to the classical music scene.
