Best of the Best – Student Invitational Exhibit at Endicott
The Endicott College annual Student Invitational Exhibition for the 2012 – 2013 academic year is on display through March 4, 2013 in the Manninen Center for the Arts at Endicott.
Beverly, MA -- The School of Visual and Performing Arts announced the annual Student Invitational Exhibition for the 2012 – 2013 academic year. The exhibit is on display now through March 4, 2013 in the Manninen Center for the Arts, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly. In January, gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Beginning in February, gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm; Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; and Saturday and Sunday, 2:00-4:00 pm. Please join us on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. as we celebrate the works of these students and announce the first, second, third place awards. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.
Award winners and nominees highlight the exhibit of the most successful student responses to assignments in all studio courses of the School of Visual and Performing Arts. Works in the exhibit include ceramics, drawing, 3-D models, digital computerized 3-D space design, painting, photography, printmaking and graphic and interior design. Subjects include abstractions, architectural plans, figurative drawings, landscapes, nudes, student choreographed dance on video, portraiture, and typography. Faculty assign three purchase awards and the general student population vote for the popular choice award. All degree programs of the School of Visual and Performing Arts are represented in the exhibit including Creative Arts Therapy, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, Studio Art, Performing Arts, and Sustainable Design. This juried exhibition provides the viewer an inside look at what our students are creating. It’s a fantastic exhibition that should not be missed.
