Beverly Bootstraps’ Adult Education “Celebration of Excellence”

The evening was all about "a world of possibilities” on last Thursday night at the First Baptist Church, Beverly. The staff, volunteers and families came together to celebrate the amazing achievements of all the students in Beverly Bootstraps’ Adult Education Programs.

“I feel very honored to be able to share with them their accomplishments and see the joy on their faces. Everyone- students, staff, volunteers, family and friends came together and we all had a wonderful time. Each student has an amazing story surrounding their achievements and I want them to know, they did it, they achieved excellence and they are successful.” Julia Andrews, Adult Education Supervisor.

Bootstraps offers a range of Adult Education programs including GED Test Preparation, Computer Training, ESOL, and Adult Literacy classes. At the Celebration of Excellence, over thirty students were awarded certificates for their achievements. Specifically, 12 students have gained a GED diploma between July 2012 and May 2013. 14 students have taken one or more of the required tests and will complete all five tests in the next few months.
