Endicott Repertory Dance Ensemble Presents: Guest Choreographers Showcase III

BEVERLY – The students of the Endicott College Repertory Dance Ensemble present Guest Choreographers Showcase III, performing original works of the esteemed Contemporary and Modern choreographers Sarah Jerome, Caitlin Meehan and Katherine Naame-Roesch. Dancers from the acclaimed company, Quicksilver Dance, including artistic director, Mariah Steele, will also perform. 

The show is Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Rose Performance Hall, Center for the Arts, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly. “Guest Choreographers Showcase III” will be an eclectic display of dance works performed by the 17 members of the Repertory Dance Ensemble. This hour-length show will include multiple dance genres and themes that include: an interpretation of Alice and Wonderland via Modern Dance, a piece about the journey into the afterlife, and a piece about abuse. 

“This show is fantastic! I am extremely proud of the dancers for their hard work for each piece is quite challenging both physically and emotionally,” said Professor Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch who is the coordinator and director of the ensemble. “I am also excited for the guest artists [from Quicksilver] to perform their piece, Peregrine. It is such a beautiful piece, and I feel it fits this show nicely,” she added. 

Jerome studied dance at Dean College in Franklin, MA and is the founder and director of Boston Community Dance Project in Boston, MA. Meehan received a BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College, PA and is a dancer for Falling Flight Project and dancer/choreographer of Monkeyhouse Dance Company, both in Boston, MA. Naame-Roesch, received a BA in Dance from Point Park University, PA and is a former dancer of “Legends” in Atlantic City, NJ, and is currently an adjudicator and dance teacher in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. 

“I really enjoyed working with the dancers of Endicott, they have such energy!” Jerome said. 

Sophomore ensemble member Nicole Terrell returned the compliment. 

“The choreographers give us such a new perspective on dance and art. The energy and ideas are so inspiring!” she said.
