Endicott to Offer Special Military Scholarships to Enrolled Military Personnel
Endicott to offer special military scholarship of 50% of the tuition cost to currently enrolled students.
Beverly, MA –Yesterday, the Secretary of the Army approved suspension of Tuition Assistance for military personnel due to budget cuts. Endicott College is pleased to announce that soldiers currently enrolled in Endicott degree programs losing Tuition Assistance benefits will be eligible for an Endicott special military scholarship of 50% of the tuition cost if they do not qualify for other available benefits. This scholarship in intended to financially assist military students enrolled in degree programs to finish their college degrees. We are pleased to be able to support members of the armed services in recognition of the many services that they provide to our country.
According to a recent article, the suspension cuts $4500 a year in tuition assistance. In 2012, the tuition benefit provided $375 million dollars to soldiers.
In making the announcement, President Richard E. Wylie said, “We value our soldiers who are studying to enhance their careers and transition to civilian life. We owe them our gratitude and support. We hope this benefit will help fill the gap created by the recent cuts.”
