How Can You Feel Healthier?

You are designed to be healthy. It's just through misunderstanding, lack of understanding, or lack of knowledge, that many people have symptoms or disease. What do you need to know to feel healthier?

"Relax, it's just a game".

Unfortunately, I heard that quite a bit growing up.  It's one of those lines that generates the opposite reaction it was intended to, adding fuel to an already well lit fire. To say I was not a fan of losing would be an understatement. Many of my family and friends would attest to this!

Well today, oh it feels so good, I get to be on the opposite side of that statement, to let you all know to "relax, it's just a game". Health that is. Except, quit relaxing, start participating, the implications are way more serious than the athletic "battles" I participated in as a youth.

When we revert back to a simplistic level of thinking, health is just that, a game. Active participation increases the likelihood of success. Unfortunately, today, participation levels are at an all time low . Which got me thinking, "why is that?"

People aren't involving themselves in this incredible game because either they don't know the rules of the game or they are trying to play, but they are following the wrong set of instructions.

So let's clear things up over the next couple of weeks by laying down the fundamental ground rules of this game, health.

GROUND RULE #1: You are designed to be healthy! (How empowering is that?!)

For the VAST majority of us, we have the perfect genome that if placed in the correct environment consistently overtime, consuming and receiving the things we need and not consuming  and receiving the things we don't need, adding in all the essential elements in how we choose to eat, how we choose to move and how we choose to think, we get to express health across our genome. Now conversely, if we do not express health or in other words we are experiencing some sort of symptom, condition or crisis, it quiet simply means that there is something interfering with the natural expression of our health.
