Local Concours d’Elegance at Endicott in July

On the last weekend of July (27 & 28), Boston’s historic North Shore turns into the place-to-be for classic automobiles and motorcycles owners, as well as for fashion and society people, as the annual Misselwood Concours d’Elegance will once again transform the area into one of the must-attend events of the summer by highlighting cars, fashion, art and entertainment.
“Due to our magnificent oceanfront location, we can truthfully say we have one of the most scenic concours shows on the East Coast, says Patrick Cornelissen, founder of the event. “ And it seems that that word is spreading fast; in our first year we were able to bring in automobiles from Massachusetts and Maine. Now, four years later, we have people attending from 11 states, as well as Canada.”
The event, which is a fundraiser for scholarships at Endicott College, features more than just cars and motorcycles, as the Concours d’Elegance includes a high-end fashion show, an oceanside brunch, art exhibits, musical entertainment and a VIP lounge. What better place than to sip champagne or enjoy a freshly made Bloody Mary at brunch, all while enjoying the ocean breeze and watching the numerous sailboats pass by and catch up with friends.

The fashion component will be hosted this year by Bella Sera Bridal out of Danvers. "We are so excited to be a part of this much anticipated event," said Lisa Almedia, co-owner of Bella Sera Bridal. "We plan to bring a spectacular fashion show that will delight guests and add a unique flair to this one-of-a-kind celebration of all that is classic and beautiful." Also returning is the fancy hat competition, which last year was a tremendous success. “We encourage attendees to wear their fancy hats” says Patrick Cornelissen, “as they are all eligible for fantastic prizes which are handed out at the beginning of the awards ceremony”. And, of course be wowed by some of the most unique classic automobiles and motorcycles, as we highlight this year Cadillac and Lasalle as featured marques.
