What Most People Don't Know About Chiropractic Care

Learn how to get healthy and eliminate digestive problems naturally. Join Franson Family Chiropractic on March 6th at 6:45pm as we explore the topic of DIGESTION and how to get your life back.

Along with transmitting signals for pain, spinal nerves have an intimate connection to your digestive system, conveying the messages that influence the speed at which food passes through the GI tract, the amount of digestive juices released, and the blood supply to various digestive organs.

An Australian survey of 1,500 chiropractic patients revealed that spinal pain is often accompanied by heartburn or indigestion. Of the patients with indigestion or heartburn, the majority of pain was reported between the shoulder blades and nearly one quarter reported relief from their digestive symptoms, as well as their spinal pain, while under chiropractic care.

Unfortunately, many people with back pain, neck pain, tension headaches and other types of spinal pain turn to painkilling medications before trying chiropractic care. This decision may be detrimental to digestive health. For example, the American Gastroenterological Association estimates that some 16,500 Americans die each year from bleeding ulcers related to the use of nonsteroidal, anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Motrin, and Naprosyn. And Tylenol, which is not an NSAID, has been linked to liver damage.

No painkilling drug can match the safety record of chiropractic care. Is it reasonable to make painkilling drugs your first line of defense against spinal pain? Or is it more intelligent to consider this approach: Chiropractic first, drugs second, surgery last?

Each month throughout 2013 Franson Family Chiropractic will focus on one specific topic – one condition or symptom – as the “Body Signal” of the month. We call symptoms Body Signals because they are the body’s way of telling us that there is an underlying problem. The workshops will talk about how to correct the cause of the problem as opposed to treating the symptom. Our next workshop focuses on DIGESTIVE ISSUES and is on the 6th of March at 6:45pm. RSVP on our Facebook Event Page or call our office at 978-927-8466. If you are a guest, admission is free.
