YMCA Seeks Community's Help to Reach Matching Gift Goal
The Greater Beverly Y has received its largest annual campaign gift ever and its provided us with an opportunity to get the entire community involved!
A generous donor offered a $75,000 matching gift challenge. For ever dollar raised for the Greater Beverly YMCA Y for All Annual Campaign, the gift will be doubled. One-in-five people receive financial assistance each year at the Greater Beverly Y totaling more than $700,000. This gift will make a huge impact for children, adults and families in our area.
“The donor gave the YMCA a deadline of May 17th. With just two weeks left, the Y is turning to our community, who has given us a great amount of support in the past,” said Beth Francis, Chief Development Officer. “By making a gift and spreading the word to friends and family, we know we can reach our $75,000 goal before time runs out.”
100% of every donation to our 2013 Y For All Annual Campaign supports the Y's Financial Assistance Program. Through financial assistance, we provide essential programs and services to local children, families and individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford them.
From early education programing, affordable housing, summer camp scholarships, membership assistance and health and wellness programs for all ages, the Y has something for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. It is our mission to never have to turn anyone away.
