Brimbal Avenue Hearing to Continue on Rezoning Plan

The public hearing, which started earlier this month, is scheduled to resume at 8 p.m. in City Council chambers on the third floor of City Hall.
Already, a majority of the land in the area has an overlay component to the industrial zoning that would allow a shopping center to be built by CEA Group of Cambridge, which owns the property between Sohier Road and Brimbal Avenue, closest to Route 128.

But a plan to reconfigure the ramps in the area now calls for the connector road between the two roads to be moved south. The land that makes up that connector road in now before the Planning Board and City Council. Which will decide whether the zoning will be extended to that portion. If so, CEA and the MassDOT plan to swap land.
