Brimbal Rezoning Forces Council to Move Meeting to Auditorium
The City Council will meet Monday night in the auditorium at Beverly High School on Monday night to take up a proposal to rezone some land along Brimbal Avenue.

The City Council will again take up consideration Monday of a proposal to rezone a portion of land near exit 19 off Route 128 to allow the construction of a shopping plaza.
The rezoning of about 2.5 acres of land would also clear the way for a land swamp between a private landowner, CEA Group of Cambridge, at the state Department of Transportation so that a connector road between Sohier Road and Brimbal Avenue could be moved further away from the highway.
Last month, the Planning Board unanimously recommend that the rezoning be approved. The recommendation goes before the City Council, which will have the final decision.
The issue has attracted so much attention that the City Council meeting has been moved to the auditorium at Beverly High School. It starts at 7 p.m.
