Brush Fire Warning: Beverly Crews Fight Enon Street Blaze Wednesday

BEVERLY, MA — Wednesday's warm, dry and windy conditions helped spark the spread of a brush fire in Beverly early in the afternoon.

Beverly Fire Chief Peter O'Connor said that all crews were working the brush fire off Enon Street between Aubuchon and Wenham Lake shortly after noon.

"Reminder to all to take care in the woods," O'Connor said early Wednesday afternoon. "Despite a wet spring, the dead brush on the ground dries quickly and fires can easily spread in warm windy conditions."
