Cabot Theater To Require Vaccination Proof Or Negative Test
The Beverly theater is requiring guests to prove vaccination or have a negative test within 72 and show a government ID to attend a show.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly's historic Cabot Theater is joining a growing list of entertainment venues in Massachusetts requiring proof of a coronavirus vaccination or a recent negative test.
Starting Sept. 17, theater patrons for movies and concerts will be required to either show a vaccination card or proof of a negative coronavirus test within the past 72 hours. Guests will also have to show a government-issued identification card to ensure they are the person listed on the vaccine or test card.
The theater said photocopies or a picture of the vaccine card or test on a phone will be accepted as long as all information is visible.

The Cabot's policy mirrors a growing trend in the live entertainment industry largely shuttered for more than a yearbecause of the pandemic.
Live Nation, whose venues include the Xfinity Center, Leader Bank Center in Boston's Seaport District, the House of Blues the Orpheum Theatre and Paradise Rock Club , said two weeks ago that all performers and concertgoers at its fully owned venues will also have to show proof of vaccination or produce a negative coronavirus test.
