Voting Is No Joke!, the first ever voting variety show, will celebrate the power of civic participation through laughter, music, and shared experiences. The non-partisan event, presented by The Cabot and Leading Ladies on Wednesday, September 23, is free and open to the public. Reservations at thecabot.org are encouraged.
Hosted by comedian John McClellan, this lively evening will feature acclaimed storyteller Judith Black, folk singer Tom Smith, the inspiring Voter's Voices Chorus, plus comedy, a trivia contest, and interactive audience participation. Designed for both first-time and lifelong voters, the event fosters meaningful connections while reinforcing the importance of every voice in our community.
Before the show, attendees are invited to learn about voting issues, civic engagement, and ways to get involved at several resource tables provided by local organizations. Doors will open at 6 pm for audience members to consult the table monitors. Entertainment will begin at 7 pm.
