Caught On Tape: Grown Man Smashing Pumpkin In Beverly

BEVERLY, MA -- Tiana Dixey woke to a familiar site in New England in October Saturday morning: the pumpkin that had been displayed on her front step was smashed. But when Dixey consulted the video from her Beverly home's surveillance system she didn't find footage of kids, but of a grown man doing the pumpkin chucking at 1:40 am Saturday.

"Anyone know this ass hat that smashed my pumpkin at 1:40am last night?" Dixey wrote on Facebook Saturday morning. "I’d like to meet them. And they owe me a new pumpkin!"

Dixey said the man smashed pumpkins all along her street. As of 11 am Saturday morning, no one who had posted comments on her post had been able to identify the man, and only one poster had gone for the obvious joke of quoting a song by the alt-rock band Smashing Pumpkins.
