Charlie Baker Endorses Matt St. Hilaire
Headlines campaign event with City Council At-Large candidate in Beverly
BEVERLY, MA – Matt St. Hilaire, a Beverly native and candidate for City Council At-Large, was endorsed by Charlie Baker on Sunday. Baker attended a campaign event held at the Cove Community Center with St. Hilaire.

"The people of Beverly would be lucky to have Matt St. Hilaire representing them." Baker said. "I know Matt and I can tell you that he is someone who is capable of bringing people together and working with a wide range of personalities to get things accomplished. He'd be great for Beverly and I am happy to be here to support his campaign for City Council."
Baker, a Swampscott businessman, recently announced he is running for Governor of Massachusetts in 2014 and is a former state Secretary of Administration and Finance and Health and Human Services and is a former CEO of a health-care organization.

"I am honored to have Charlie's endorsement." St. Hilaire said. "We're going to have a new generation of leaders making decisions in Beverly very soon and Charlie's willingness to support me demonstrates how my career working in government and in the political arena can benefit Beverly."
St. Hilaire, 36, served as Field Director on Baker's 2010 campaign for Governor. He also served in the Governor's Office at the State House under Governor Paul Cellucci and has held leadership positions with a number of high profile political campaigns.
"I've been in the arena and I've gained valuable experience about how government works that I will take with me to the City Council." St. Hilaire said. "With all the change happening in our city we need a new generation of leaders with the experience to move Beverly forward in the right direction."
St. Hilaire grew up in Beverly and attended Beverly public schools including Beverly High School where he graduated in 1995. He is married to a Beverly native, Elizabeth (Dunn) St. Hilaire and together they have three young children. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Villanova University and is currently employed as a Recruiter and Social Media Manager in the private sector.
