Christmas, NYE MBTA Holiday Schedule in Beverly

The MBTA has announced its holiday season schedule.

Some highlights include:

• The Rockport/Newburyport line will operate on a Sunday schedule Christmas Day, Dec. 25.

• Free service will be offered on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.

• All subway lines will operate on a modified weekday schedule from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, except the Silver line, which will be on a regular weekday schedule.

• On Jan. 1 both the Rockport and Newburyport lines will be extended to 2 am. 

• The Rockport/Newburyport line, and all subway lines will operate on a Sunday schedule New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2013.
