Softball Rivals to Play to Support Bombing Victims Thursday Afternoon
The two league rivals always play one game to benefit cancer charities, but this year, in light of the Boston Marathon bombing last week, they've decided to help those victims instead.

The Danvers High varsity softball team is hosting Beverly High School on Thursday afternoon for a special game.
The two rivals have one game every year to support cancer charities, but in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing they decided this time to donate all proceeds from the game to The One Fund Boston instead to support the more than 200 victims.
If you make a donation of $15 or more, the softball boosters will be taking orders for T-shirts near the snack bar. There will also be a bake sale and raffle. Orange Leaf in Danvers Square also says it will donate 10 percent of all sales on Friday.
