Essex Pulmonary Associates Becomes Lahey Pulmonary, Beverly

Essex Pulmonary Associates announced today that it will become a practice of Lahey Health. As a result, the practice will change its name to Lahey Pulmonary, Beverly.

“Our patients will continue to receive care for their pulmonary problems in our local community,” said Pulmonologist Jeffrey B. Newton, MD, FCCP. “However, this new affiliation will provide our patients with easier access to specialized diagnostic procedures and specialty referrals, which are currently not available locally.”

“We have more than 38 years of combined experience in providing high quality pulmonary care for families on the North Shore,” said Dr. Newton. “Our new affiliation will allow us to expand our practice and to improve our ability to serve our patients in a timely manner.”

The practice offers a full range of pulmonary care services, including interventional pulmonary procedures, inpatient and outpatient consultations, diagnostic testing and disease management services. Additionally, patients will now have greater access to the wide range of services available at Lahey Health as a result of this new relationship.

Dr. Newton’s clinical interests include the treatment and management of asthma, COPD and lung cancer. Dr. Mouchantaf’s clinical interests include the treatment and management of lung cancer, pleural disease and interventional pulmonology.
