Expect North Shore Commuter Rail Delays On Weekend Service
The commuter rail said the delays will affect inbound trains on the Rockport line starting Sept. 11.

BEVERLY, MA — Riders taking the commuter rail from the North Shore into Boston should prepare for weekend delays in the coming months.
The MBTA commuter rail said on Wednesday that on Sept. 11 "until further notice" inbound trains on the Rockport line will have delays of up to 20 minutes during weekend service. National Grid maintenance is expected to cause the delays.
The MBTA said outbound service and service on the Newburyport line will not be affected.
