Framingham Woman Charged After Hitting Pedestrian In Beverly

A 30-year-old Beverly man was thrown 80 feet after being hit in a crosswalk by a car driven by Amy Crossland, 21, of Framingham.

BEVERLY, MA — A 30-year-old Beverly man was treated at Beverly Hospital Monday night for non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a car and thrown 80 feet while crossing at the intersection of Rantoul Street and Broadway. Beverly Police charged the drive of the car, Amy Crossland, 21, of Framingham, with failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash, operating to endanger, and speed greater than reasonable for the conditions.

Crossland, according to police, drove a short distance up the street before pulling over to call police. Crossland was also taken to Beverly Hospital with unspecified injuries. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. during a heavy rainstorm.
