GUS Radio is staffed by a small group of upper school students who make up the Radio
Club, which meets weekly to generate current programming and ideas for future
broadcasts. After programs are uploaded, they run on a loop constantly.
“As far as I know, we’re the only school that has this, and it’s great because we’re using
the latest technology in an innovative and creative way, and letting the kids create their
own content,” said Provost.
A regularly featured program is “GUS Round Table”, which is currently streaming. Each
week the students choose a different topic to discuss, this week’s discussion focuses on
the school dress code, which according to students, prompted some lively conversation.
Highlights will include featured artists, including Provost,

celebrity guests and various student acts, including the school band, chorus, and faculty
singers.
Today for the first time, the Gus Radio APP was used to broadcast a Parent
Association meeting, live and in real time. “This is huge for working parents, or for those
who cannot attend meetings, as they will now be able to tune in wherever they are,” said
Sallie Pottle, Head of Glen Urquhart School’s Parents’ Association.
