Harborlight Montessori Students to Compete in Global Finals Event
Students place 2nd in Destination Imagination Mass. competition to earn trip to Global Finals this May at the University of Tennessee

Harborlight’s seven Middle School students placed first in Destination Imagination's regional competition held at Beverly High School in March, and second among a group of Middle Schools in the State Finals held at Worcester Polytechnic Institute later last month to earn their trip to the Global Finals to be held at the University of Tennessee from May 23rd - 26th. The theme of Harborlight’s presentation is, “Recycling,” with the students demonstrating how they are helping to reduce the amount of trash generated at their school. In keeping with their theme, the students will hold an Electronics Recycling Fundraiser at Harborlight’s campus, 243 Essex St., on Saturday, May 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. All proceeds from the event will go to help defray the cost for the students' travel to the Global Finals in Tennessee. The recycling event is sponsored by Circuitry Recycling of Beverly. The students have also created a GoFundMe page at www.gofundme.com/harborlight-di to raise funds for their trip.
