Help supply food for Thanksgiving meals at Beverly Bootstraps’ Food Drives

Food drives on Sat Nov 4 and Tues Nov 7

At this time of year, so many people like to share their generosity and give back to those less fortunate. At Beverly Bootstraps, through their Thanksgiving Food Program, you can help them provide a Thanksgiving dinner to over 500 families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to celebrate this wonderful holiday.

There will be two Food Drives this year to ensure they have enough food to give out. The first is on Saturday, November 4 from 9am-1pm at Shaw’s and both Stop & Shops in Beverly. Volunteers will be at all 3 grocery stores handing shoppers a list of the Thanksgiving food items needed on the way into the store, and donations can be dropped off with them on the way back out.

Also, on Tuesday, November 7, the Citywide PTO will be organizing the annual Election Day Food Drive. When you head out to the polls, please consider bringing some non-perishable food with you to donate in the collection bins located at each of the polling sites in Beverly: Ayers Ryal Side School, McKeown School, Cove School, North Beverly School, Centerville School and Beverly Public Library. Polls are open from 7am – 8pm so it’s easy to do your civic duty and community duty in one stop.
