Hiding in the Bushes, Burglary Suspect Nabbed in Beverly

BEVERLY, MA -- Shortly before 3 a.m. on Monday morning, Beverly police got a call from a West Street resident about a possible intruder in the home.

The caller told police that she heard someone in her house and that she and her husband had turned all the lights in the house on.

When police got to the house, they allegedly found Michael Bonugli hiding in the bushes outside the house wearing dark clothing, including a hooded sweatshirt.

Police arrested Bonugli, 21, of 2 Woodbury Drive in Beverly and charged him with unarmed burglary.
