I Will Go On... & Free Air 4 You's Opening Receptions at Montserrat

I Will Go On… exhibits artists whose practices parallel the characteristics of a marathoner: endurance, repetition, and focus.

Aaron Meyers uses raw materials such as wood and concrete to reveal a specific kind of practical beauty found in our everyday environment. Meyers’ large-scale installations are simultaneously architectural and labor-intensive, illustrating a bridge between sculpture and performance.

Remi Thornton’s long-exposure photographs use the atmospheric qualities of streetlights to create eerie nightscapes. Based in Melrose, MA, Thornton adds an anticipation of the unknown to otherwise mundane sites.
