BEVERLY, MA — While this weekend may mark the unofficial end of summer for many as kids go back to school and the pumpkin spice takeover of the North Shore begins in earnest, Beverly Main Streets is still leaving the light on for dog days a few more weeks with its first "End of Summer Party" planned for Rantoul Street and Odell Veterans Park on Sept. 21.

The block party is an addition to the schedule this year as a way to highlight Rantoul Street businesses the same way the summer block party does for Cabot Street businesses in July.

The event will run from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. with live music, activities, food and craft vendors, as well as beer from local breweries Coastal Mass, Gentile and Old Planters.
