The event will help raise money for Pete's Park in Beverly.

Frates is the inspiration behind the ALS Ice Bucket challenge which has raised huge amounts of money and awareness for Alzheimer’s research.

Those behind the park effort want it to be a park that Pete can actually visit to watch his daughter Lucy and play with his nieces and other neighborhood children.
In August, the Beverly City Council unanimously approved changing the name of Longfellow Park on Middlebury Lane to Pete’s Park.
