Its not too late to get extra free food for kids this summer! WITH NEW TIMES

Summer Food Program, Free food, Beverly Bootstraps, Food Pantry, new times

Beverly’s Summer Food Program starts this week. This program, which provides food to any child 18 or under, continues through the summer. There are two options for free food for kids this year: lunches at several parks and Beverly High School, and extra visits to Beverly Bootstraps Food Pantry.

It’s not too late to register for Beverly Bootstraps’ program which allows you to visit the Food Pantry every 7 days instead of every 14 . You can now sign up during their regular summer Food Pantry hours of Monday from 10:00am to 1:00pm; Tuesday from 4:00pm to 6:45pm; Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:15pm; Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm; Friday from 10:00am to 12:15pm. These extra weeks of visits are available between June 26 and August 25. Please bring children’s birth certificate, Social Security card, or report card as well as current proof of residency.

Lunch runs from Monday, June 26 through Friday, August 18 and is provided by Beverly Public Schools Food Services at the following locations (PLEASE NOTE - TIMES LISTED BELOW ARE NEW):

Often over the summer, when school is out and the free and reduced school breakfast and lunch program is not available, families have a difficult time squeezing the cost of additional food into an already tight budget. The goal is to ensure that all children have healthy meal options available this summer.

Children are encouraged to take advantage of these options. No child should go hungry this summer.

This program is a collaboration between Beverly Bootstraps, Beverly Public Schools Food Services and Beverly Recreation Department. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
