Kaffmandu of Danvers To Open New Downtown Beverly Location
The popular Danvers coffee shop will take over the Cabot Street location as Gusto Cafe closes its doors after 10 years.
DANVERS, MA — A popular Danvers cafe is opening a new location in downtown Beverly as it takes over the space of another beloved coffee shop.
Owners of both locations said that Kaffmandu Coffee House of Danvers will take over the Gusto Cafe on Cabot Street at the end of the month.
"We wanted to share the news with all of you, Gusto Cafe will no longer be operating but a new cafe will be soon opening, which is KAFFMANDU of Danvers," Gusto Cafe owners said in a Facebook post. "We wanted to thank you all for those 10 years of business and wish the new Owners of Kaffmandu the best of luck in their journey!"

Kaffmandu owner Om Shrestha said he had been looking to open a third location for close to a year and is "beyond humbled" to take over the spot Gusto Cafe has called home for the past decade.
"Beverly is where my wife and I raised our daughter, Shanti, and lived for close to 15 years, so to operate an extension of Kaffmandu here is also a momentous occasion," Shrestha posted on Thursday. "I hope to bring to Beverly my vision, my experience and expertise in the coffee industry, 23 years, and my hopes of building Kaffmandu Beverly into another oasis — like Danvers — where people can gather for great coffee, food, music and conversations.

"I am thrilled to be given this opportunity and cannot wait to build new relationships, educate on Fair-Trade/Organic coffee, and create a strong foundation of everything that Kaffmandu offers which I hope will continue for many more years to come!!"
Shrestha said the Beverly grand opening will be on Feb. 28 — the eighth anniversary of Kaffmandu opening in Danvers as well as Shanti's 18th birthday.
"I hope to see many of you at either location on this day to celebrate and, of course, I am looking forward to getting to know the people of Beverly as well!" Shrestha said.
