"The Kelly Way" Brian Kelly tells his Story @ the North Shore Business Forum's Meeting Fri., 5/19/2016 Acapulcos, Beverly

President of The Kelly Automotive Group highlights major keys that make The Kelly Auto profitable, reputable, and one of top places to work.

Brian Kelly, President of The Kelly Automotive Group, will share his personal success story, highlighting the major keys that make The Kelly Automotive Group profitable, reputable, and one of the top places to work year after year as recognized by The Boston Globe, The Automotive News, and Dealer Rater. Employee treatment, retention and benefits are just a few factors at work in Brian’s “Mirror Theory” — the idea that the way your employees treat your customers is a direct reflection of how your business treats its employees.

About the Speaker: Brian Kelly, President of The Kelly Automotive Group, was born and raised on the North Shore. He began his business career at age eight with lemonade stands and paper routes, and then buying and refurbishing small boats and motors. At age 13, he was sweeping floors and changing light bulbs at his father’s used-car lot, and by age 16, he was taking customers for test drives. A 1970 graduate of Claude H. Patton Vocational School in Beverly, Brian went on to NADA Executive Training and purchased his father’s Datsun dealership in 1980. That was the start of The Kelly Automotive Group, which now boasts 12 brands at nine locations. This has been a family-owned and operated business through three generations over 50 years. Under Brian’s watch, the company has won excellence awards from Infiniti, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, and Jeep/Chrysler, is one of the top 100 dealers nationwide for volume sales and gross revenue, and has achieved some of the highest Customer Satisfaction scores in the US. Brian maintains a healthy lifestyle that he believes affords him the energy to run a company with 500+ employees. For more information, contacthttp://www.kellyauto.com/.

The “Meeting After the Meeting” Returns!

Find out what's happening in Beverlyfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

The North Shore Business Forum is re-instituting the concept of having members share their expertise with other members on an informal basis, in brief, no-cost sessions after its Friday morning networking meetings.

Says member John King:

The Meeting After the Meeting is an opportunity for you to share with other members of the NSBF a particular skill, or to educate members about a particular program or offering that you can provide through your business. In the 20-30 minutes following a regular meeting you can:

- elaborate in-depth on your 30 second pitch

- try something new and get feedback from a small, friendly audience

- arrange follow-up discussions with the participants

If you are an NSBF member with an interest in offering your own “Meeting After the Meeting” session in the future, please see NSBF President Brett Kirkpatrick at one of our meetings, or email him at events@nsbforum.org.
