Late Night Laundry Gone Wrong? : Beverly Police Logs

Beverly police responded to a fire in a washing machine, a dog that was stuck and threats.

BEVERLY, MA — Here is a sample of the types of calls the Beverly Police responded to today and yesterday. The calls come from the public police log. Just because someone reported an incident does not mean that's the way it happened.

Monday, Dec. 4

Drunk guy: Someone called police around 4:47 p.m. to report a disturbance on the second flour of a building on Roundy Street. Two units responded.

Dog rescue: Two police officers and at least one fire official responded to a call about a dog stuck in a "gulley" on Balch Street at 7:21 p.m. (Patch will follow up to see what happened).

Whoops: A Cabot Street resident called to report they were locked out of their home at 7:52 p.m.

Late night laundry gone wrong?: A Mason Street resident called to report there was a small fire in the washing machine just before midnight. Fire and police responded.

Tuesday, Dec. 5

Stolen: Someone called at 8:26 a.m. to report their bike was stolen from Elliott Street and Cummings Center.

Moby Dick Threats?: Police responded to a report at 8:49 a.m. of a threats to "White Whale" on Cabot Street. (Patch is following up on this).

Crash: At 11:12 a.m. someone reported there was a crash right in front of City Hall on Cabot Street
