Spencer Lange graduates from Coastal Carolina University

CONWAY S.C. - Spencer Lange, of Beverly, graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration in Economics on Saturday, May 11. Approximately 950 candidates were eligible for graduation.

2013 UMass Dartmouth Graduates Several Beverly Residents

NORTH DARTMOUTH - The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth undergraduate commencement is on May 12. An estimated 1,446 graduates will receive degrees.

Sheri McCoy '80, CEO of Avon Products, will delivere the 113th undergraduate Commencement address and receive an honorary Doctor of Business.

Nimesh Jayasekara graduates from Wayne State University

DETROIT, MI - Nimesh Jayasekara, a resident of Beverly, was among more than 3,500 students who graduated from Wayne State University this semester.

Jayasekara received a master's degree in Economics.

Wayne State's spring 2013 commencement ceremony was held on May 9 at Ford Field in downtown Detroit.

UMass Dartmouth Graduate Student Kirsten Lazorik from Beverly Earns Degree

NORTH DARTMOUTH - Kirsten Lazorik from Beverly received a Master of Art Education degree at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduate commencement on May 11. An estimated 462 graduate students received master's and doctoral degrees.

The Hon. Phillip Rapoza, Chief Justice of Massachusetts Court of Appeals, delivered the graduate address and receive an honorary Doctor of Law.

Andrew LeBel Named to Champlain College President's List

BURLINGTON, VT -- Andrew LeBel, a resident of Beverly, has been named to the Champlain College President's List as a full-time student achieving a Spring 2013 semester grade point average of 4.0. LeBel, son of Beth LeBel of Beverly, is majoring in Digital Filmmaking.

Andrew Harney from Beverly Earns Place on Dean's List at Berklee College of Music

BOSTON -- Berklee College of Music announces that Andrew Harney of Beverly has earned placement on the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2012 academic year. To be eligible for this honor, a full-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or above; a part-time student must achieve a grade point average of 3.6 or above.

Local Residents Inducted into Honor Societies at Providence College

PROVIDENCE, RI -- The following Beverly residents were recently inducted into the Providence College chapters of national honor societies:

Kathryn Milaschewski of Beverly, MA and a member of the class of 2013 at Providence College, was inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the national honor society for Foreign Language Studies. Milaschewski is pursuing a degree in Biology.

Erin Bushey, of Beverly, and a member of the class of 2013 at Providence College, was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for History. Bushey is pursuing a degree in Health Policy Management.
