Maine Woman Arrested On Parental Kidnapping Charges In Beverly

BEVERLY, MA -- Beverly and Massachusetts State Police descended on a Beverly residence Monday and arrested a Maine woman wanted in that state on charges of parental kidnapping. Brittany Bohan, 28, of Sanford, ME, was arrested without incident and her two children were unharmed.

Police were alerted that Bohan may have gone to the Beverly residence after leaving Maine with her children, who were to be turned over to the custody of Maine Child Protective Services. Bohan was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Salem District Court on a fugitive from justice charge. Bohan will be turned over to the Sanford, ME Police Department after her arraignment.
