Former Beverly resident Claudinei DePaulo, 36, will be deported to his native Brazil after he serves his sentence.

BEVERLY, MA -- Claudinei DePaulo, 36, formerly of Beverly, was sentenced to seven years in prison and will be deported to Brazil at the conclusion of his sentence after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. The sentence was handed down Monday by Salem Superior Court Timothy feeley, whoi also added a stipulation that if DePaulo returns to the U.S. without specific permission, it will be considered a violation of his parole. Under the agreement, DePaulo pleaded guilty to child rape, child enticement and witness intimidation.

Last year the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children targeted DePaulo after flagging Facebook messages he had sent to his victim. The victim was the daughter of DePaulo's girlfriend, and he was living with the family at the time of the assaults. The girl was repeatedly raped over a period of three years but did not report it because she felt her mother's happiness depended on her relationship with DePaulo.
